On June 18, 2021, Assam had canceled the board exams for both class 10th and 12th due to the coronavirus pandemic. State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said that the Assam government has canceled the state board examinations due to the second wave of the pandemic.
The board had taken this decision keeping in mind the safety and health of all the students. After this, like other boards, SEBA and AHSEC also issued an alternative evaluation criterion to assess the students of class 10 and 12.

This year 4 lakh 38 thousand 828 students of HSLC class 10th have been promoted to higher education. According to the Board of Education, the total number of schools under SEBA is 7,301. As soon as the results (Assam HSLC 10th Result 2021) will be declared, students will be able to download their mark sheets in digital format. The Assam Board 10th class result has been calculated on the basis of 40:40:20 formula. According to this, 40 percent weightage will be given to the annual examination of class 9, 40 percent weightage will be given to class 10 exam and the remaining 20 percent weightage will be given by the schools. Factors like attendance, internal assessment etc. will be taken into consideration for awarding 20% marks.
