Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta arrived on Thursday for a surprise inspection of RIMS. During this, he obtained information about the health system from the higher officials of RIMS. Minister Banna Gupta reached RIMS and directly held a meeting with Director Dr Kameshwar Prasad. During this, HODs of various departments including RIMS Superintendent Dr Vivek Kashyap were present with him.

During the meeting, the preparations made for the possible third wave of Corona were reviewed. The minister received information about the availability of necessary resources, manpower, stock of medicines and other necessary resources and gave special guidelines regarding the shortcomings.
The Minister received information about the operation of the Special covid Ward and also inquired about the facilities available in the Child Special Ward and Pediatric Ward. Instructions were given to the RIMS management to ensure the availability of equipment and medicines related to the treatment of children. He directed the RIMS Director to review the arrangements of the hospital and make it better. At the same time, he asked the director to ensure that with collective leadership and team spirit, better health system is provided to the patients undergoing treatment at RIMS.
Reviewed the ongoing vaccination campaign in RIMS.
The Minister reviewed the ongoing vaccination campaign in RIMS and directed to expedite it. The minister said that to ensure the availability of the vaccine, he is constantly talking to the central government so that there is no shortage. Nevertheless, the government is trying to ensure that there is no shortage of vaccine in the vaccination centers.
After the meeting, the daily wage workers of RIMS met the Health Minister and demanded their pending salary. Taking immediate cognizance of this, he directed the director to remove the problems and release the salary.
