Attack on Asaduddin Owaisi’s house; Five arrested.
AIMIM Leader and Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi’s house in Delhi attacked. Owaisi’s house was attacked and vandalized by people claiming to be Hindu Sena activists. Police have arrested five activists.
The All India Majlis-Ittehadul Muslimeen, (e’ai’emai’em) chief and MP Asaduddin Owais Delhi Hindu Sena activists were five arrests in the attack against the residence. The incident took place around 4 pm. The attack took place during a protest by members of the Hindu Sena outside Owaisi’s house near the Election Commission headquarters on Ashoka Road. New Delhi DCP Deepak Yadav told IANS that five people have been taken into custody and an FIR is being registered against them.

Police arrived at the scene after locals reported an attack on Owaisi’s home. By then, the attackers had damaged the gate and smashed the windows of the house.
The assailants smashed the lamp above the main entrance and the name plate of the parliamentarian. Pieces of the lamp can be seen scattered along the road. Hindu Sena national president Vishnu Gupta said he was not aware of the incident and had come to know about it through media reports and other sources. At the same time, he confirmed that some activists in his organization had gone there to protest. ‘Asaduddin Owaisi is constantly making anti-Hindu statements, which has caused unrest among activists. However, Gupta said that they should not use illegal means to register their protest.
