Addressing the nation yesterday evening, PM Modi had ordered the purchase of 44 crore corona vaccines as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced that the central government would procure free vaccines for those over 18 years of age and provide them to the states.
VK Paul, a member of Nithi Ayog’s health division, told reporters in Delhi that the central government has placed an order to buy Rs 44 crore worth of vaccines from vaccine manufacturers.
