According to the statistics released by the Tamil Nadu Health Department, the incidence Of corona infection has decreased in 22 districts as compared to the last few days.

According to statistics released by the Tamil Nadu Health Department, 1,74,349 samples have been tested in Tamil Nadu and 30,016 more have been diagnosed with corona. 

This brings the total number of corona victims to 20,39,716.  The total death toll from the corona has risen to 23,261 so far, with 486 people (305 in government hospitals and 181 in private hospitals) dying in the last 24 hours.

The number of corona patients in Tamil Nadu is 3,10,157.

A further 31,759 have recovered from the corona while 17,06,298 have been discharged so far. 

Corona cases in Tamil Nadu.

In Tamil Nadu, a maximum of 3,692 people have been diagnosed with a corona in Coimbatore and 2,705 in Chennai.  Of the 31,579 people cured, 3.1 lakh are being treated for viral infections. 

Coimbatore, which has become a ‘hotspot’ part of the state, saw its daily impact drop from 3,937 (Friday) to 3,692 yesterday.

In Chennai, it dropped from 2,762 to 2,705.  In the three districts of Erode (1,743), Tirupur (1,697) and Salem (1,472), more than 1,000 new cases are reported daily. 

At least 198 people have been affected in Sivagangai. 

Corona death toll in Tamil Nadu.

The number of victims has been declining in at least 22 districts in the state compared to last Friday, according to yesterday’s figures.  The highest death toll was

85 in Chennai.

49 in Chengalpattu.

26 in Kanchipuram.

and 24 in Dindigul.
