Meanwhile, MC Josephine will be removed from the chair of the Women’s Commission.  The government is considering removing the chairperson of the Women’s Commission amid strong protests against Josephine for allegedly speaking ill of a young woman who complained of abusive behavior.

The constituents of the LDF are unhappy that Josephine remains in office.  Josephine has also come under fire on social media.

Josephine spoke sarcastically to a young woman who called for an event called ‘Dowry Violence: Seek Help from the Women’s Commission’.

Josephine asks the young woman, who shared information about her husband and her husband’s housewife being abused in connection with the dowry, why she has not yet reported the matter to the police.

The woman, who got married in 2014, complained to the channel from Kochi that her husband was constantly harassing her.  MC Josephine was asked why she did not file a complaint with the police when she was told that she had no children and that her husband and mother-in-law were abusive.

Josephine spoke sarcastically to a young woman who called for an event called Dowry Violence.

When the complainant said that she had not informed anyone, Josephine replied, “But … did you experience it later?”  Criticism has been leveled at those who call for complaints to speak a little more politely and peacefully.  Josephine then instructs the young woman to face legal action through a good lawyer and through family court.

Josephine, an eighty-nine-year-old in-patient, has previously been widely criticized for appearing in person to hear a complaint.
