Delhi Jal Board Vice-Chairman and Rajendra Nagar MLA Raghav Chadha on Wednesday conducted a surprise inspection of the Online Tanker Management System and Grievance Redressal Helpline Control Room at the Delhi Jal Board Headquarters. He asked the officials to ensure that people do not face any kind of problem. He said that the water supply would be normal only after 16 thousand cusecs of water released by Haryana reaches Delhi.

He has directed the officers to make arrangements, supply the tanker on time and call the complainants to know the ground truth of the complaint. He also called up some of the complainants.

Haryana released 16,000 cusecs of water towards the national capital.

He also inspected the GPS based Live Tanker Tracking System of Delhi Jal Board. After receiving the complaint, asked to take necessary steps to deliver the tanker in the shortest possible time. The officials told them that the tanker reaches the complainant about 45 minutes after the complaint is lodged.

He said that the water crisis should now go away in a few days as Haryana has released water from Hathini Kund towards Delhi. Haryana has released 16,000 cusecs of water towards the national capital after the Delhi Jal Board had to file a petition in the Supreme Court to restore Delhi’s water supply.
