Covid will have more youngsters on the defensive when the third wave comes.  To this end, the Delhi government has taken the initiative to train 5,000 young people as health assistants.

Young people are trained in nursing, paramedical, life-saving, first aid, sample collection, oxygen concentrator, and cylinder operation.  Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal told a news conference that she would be working as a community nursing assistant.

This time the preparations are against the backdrop of the lack of health workers during the first and second waves.  The CM said that for the last ten days, covid has been making possible preparations to face the third wave.

Within a few days he visited hospitals and oxygen plants.  Oxygen concentrators, cylinders and oxygen tanks were set up.  The CM said that many such preparations have been made.

Massive project was designed to train 5,000 young people.

Even if the third wave rises, there may be a shortage of medical and paramedical staff.  With that in mind, a massive project was designed to train 5,000 young people.

They will be trained at Indraprastha University and nine medical institutes for the next two weeks, the CM said.

This youth group is there to help doctors and nurses.  They should do the prescribed tasks.  In addition, basic nursing, life-saving and first aid training will be provided.

They will be taught to measure oxygen levels and blood pressure and to be vaccinated.  Patients will be trained to care for, change diapers and collect samples.  They can help to effectively care for patients with covid spreads.
