Actor and mimicry artist Madhav Moghe passed away yesterday. He was 68 years old. He was battling lung cancer. His health has not been stable for the past one month. He was admitted to a Bombay hospital last week.
He was admitted to the hospital where he was diagnosed with lung cancer. He was then brought home on Saturday, his daughter Prachi Moghe said. He died at his residence on Sunday morning. “She is OK. His health was deteriorating. So he was admitted to Bombay Hospital. It was there that he was diagnosed with lung cancer in his last stage, ”Prachi told PTI.
She made her Bollywood debut in 1993 with Damini. He had worked with Sunny Deol, Rishi Kapoor, Amrish Puri and Meenakshi Seshadri. Apart from this, he was also seen in some Marathi films.
He was seen in the show ‘MTV Fulli Faltu’. He has also acted in superhit Bollywood films like ‘Damini’, ‘Ghatak’, ‘Vinashak’ and ‘Partner’. He was also seen in many Marathi films. He also used to mimic Utpal Dutt and Rajkumar. He was called a copy of Sanjeev Kapoor.

Madhav’s wife had also passed away on June 21 a few days back. She was suffering from kidney disease. Madhav had acted in Bollywood as well as Marathi films. He was seen in the film Jaan Pehchan with actor Sachin Pilgaonkar. He had done many stage shows in the country and abroad.
Moghe was famous for his mimicry skills. Thakur used to mimic the character of actor Sanjeev Kumar’s ‘Shole’. This character of Moghe was very popular and he had played this role in some Marathi films. He also participated in the program ‘Ek Do Teen’ written by Sachin Pilgaonkar. Saudagar, Chupke Chupke, Gupta and other such Bollywood films were parodied.
He has also acted in films like ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’ and ‘Partner’ with actor Salman Khan. He also played important roles in Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Damini’ and ‘Ghatak’.
