The curfew in Goa has been extended for another week as the number of infections has not dropped significantly … while the state government has announced some relaxations.

The curfew in Goa has been extended for another week as the number of infections has not dropped significantly … while the state government has announced some relaxations.

 Corona infection has been at its peak in Goa for the past few days. Oxygen shortages have increased, especially in hospitals.

There was also an incident in which 26 corona patients who were being treated for oxygen leakage due to an oxygen leak at a hospital died of starvation.  This caused a great crisis for the state government.

Following this, the Goa health department took various preventive measures. The government issued various restrictions along with the lockdown announcement. Now, as of yesterday, 131 new cases have been confirmed there. However, the total number of corona infections in Goa has risen to 1,68,716.

The total death toll has risen to 3,097 since two people died of corona infection yesterday.  Meanwhile, 241 people were discharged in a single day yesterday.

So far, the number of people recovering from corona infection has increased to 1,63,771.  Despite the high number of discharges, only 1,848 people are currently in treatment.

In this situation, the curfew has been extended for another week in the state of Goa … Meanwhile, some relaxations have been made so that the normal life of the people is not completely disrupted.

Similarly, the state government has said that gymnasiums can operate with up to 50 per cent of people … but the ban on opening casinos, cinema theaters, schools, colleges, weekly markets, etc. has been extended …  It is noteworthy that relaxations have also been announced.
