ADG UP-112 Ashok Kumar Singh said that it has been decided to honor the third party caller who called 112 to help others on the occasion of Independence Day. He informed that 75 people have been selected from across the state. They will be honored with a citation and a symbolic model of the Police Response Vehicle.
The ADG said that in view of the convenience and covid of these citizens of different districts of the state, they would be given this honor at their district headquarters itself.

Help for others is taken by aware citizens from across the state by calling or giving information on UP 112 through social media. For example, third party callers give information about help of persons injured in road accident, suicide attempt, stray, missing children, elderly and women.
On their information, the PRV immediately reaches the spot and works to provide assistance. Policemen save the lives of the injured in the accident by taking them to the hospital immediately with the help of ambulance or PRV. Therefore, every citizen of the state, who gives information in time, plays the role of a watchdog.
This tradition of respect will increase awareness.
The ADG said that this tradition of respect for those who fulfill their responsibility towards the society will increase awareness. People will fearlessly call on UP-112 and crime will be less.

- Dharampal, the caller of Mahoba Kotwali area, informed that the newborn was found on UP 112 on 31 July 2021. On this information, PRV 1256 of UP 112 immediately reached the spot and took the newborn to the hospital for first aid.
