GS Bali Passes Away: Himachal Congress leader GS Bali passed away, breathed his last at AIIMS.

Son Raghubir Singh Bali wrote on Twitter, ‘It is with a very sad heart to inform that my respected father and dearest of all of you Shri GS Bali ji is no more with us. Last night he breathed his last at AIIMS in Delhi.

Himachal Pradesh Congress veteran and former minister GS Bali passed away late on Friday night in Delhi (GS Bali Passes Away) after prolonged illness. At the age of 67, he breathed his last at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. His son Raghubir Singh Bali gave this information on Twitter. GS Bali had been unwell for some time and was undergoing treatment at Delhi’s AIIMS Hospital, where he breathed his last.

Congress Leader GS Bali Passes Away: 

The full name of GS Bali was Gurmukh Singh Bali. He was born on 27 July 1954 in Kangra. He was 67 years old. Bali had a diploma of mechanical engineer. He contested for the first time in 1998 on a Congress ticket and reached the assembly. After that, in 2003, 2007 and 2012, he also got a chance to become an MLA for the fourth time. He was also a minister in the Virbhadra government.

Raghubir Singh Bali wrote on Twitter, ‘It is with a very sad heart to inform that my respected father and dearest of all of you Shri GS Bali ji is no more with us. Last night he breathed his last at AIIMS in Delhi. He further said, ‘Dad may not be in the world but his ideals and guidance will always remain in our hearts and in your hearts.’ According to the information, Congress leader GS Bali died in Delhi AIIMS at around 2 pm. He was admitted to AIIMS for treatment for a few days.

GS Bali was ill for a long time

Bali had been ill for a long time and was being treated at AIIMS. However, on Friday, his condition became critical and his health started deteriorating, after which information was received that he had passed away. There is a plan to take the body of GS Bali from Delhi to Kangra by air ambulance. According to sources, the body of Bali will be brought to Kangra on Saturday.

Former minister Bali’s loved ones had left for Delhi as soon as he got the information about the deteriorating health. All the fans of GS Bali are in shock. GS Bali has been contesting from Nagrota Bagwan assembly constituency. He was also the founding chief of the Himachal Civil Reforms Sabha. Also, Bali was the first vice-president and then president of the Himachal Social Body Federation. Bali also played the role of convener of the All India Congress Vichar Manch from 1990 to 1997. Apart from this, he was the President of Congress Seva Dal from 1995 to 1998, co-secretary of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee from 1993 to 1998.

After that in 2003, 2007 and 2012 also got a chance to become MLA for the fourth time. He was also a minister in the Virbhadra government. However, in the elections held in the year 2017, he was defeated by BJP’s candidate Arun Mehra Kuka. Bali was also the Transport Minister in the year 2003. He was considered the second number minister after the Chief Minister in the Congress government and he always had the ambition to become the Chief Minister of the state.
