The Bombay High Court (HC) has given its verdict in the murder case of T-series founder Gulshan Kumar (Gulshan Kumar Murder Case).  Accused Abdul Raufi’s petition has been rejected by the Mumbai High Court.  The court has said that the life sentence given to Raufi by the Mumbai Sessions Court is appropriate.

The Bombay High Court (HC) has given its verdict in the murder case of T-series founder Gulshan Kumar (Gulshan Kumar Murder Case).  Accused Abdul Raufi’s petition has been rejected by the Mumbai High Court.  The court has said that the life sentence given to Raufi by the Mumbai Sessions Court is appropriate.

Gulshan Kumar was assassinated on August 12, 1997 in the Juhu area of ​​Mumbai.  The murder case was heard in court almost 24 years later.  The court upheld the life sentence of accused Abdul Raufi.  Rauf Merchant had earlier absconded after being released on parole.

Abdul Raufi had fled to Bangladesh after being released on parole.

The Mumbai High Court upheld the sentence of Abdul Raufi alias Dawood Merchant, who was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Sessions Court in the murder case.  Earlier, Abdul Raufi had fled to Bangladesh after being released on parole.

Gulshan Kumar, owner of the T-Series company, was killed.  Some people were arrested in connection with the murder.  Justice Jadhav and Justice Borkar ruled on the petition. 

Raufi was convicted of Gulshan Kumar’s murder and sentenced to life imprisonment in April 2002.  Then in 2009 accused Raufi came out on parole and fled to Bangladesh.  Again he was brought to India from Bangladesh.

Four petitions related to Gulshan Kumar’s murder were filed in the Mumbai High Court.  Three petitions were filed against the convictions of Abdul Raufi, Rakesh Chanchala Pinam and Rakesh Khokar.  The second petition was filed by the Maharashtra government. 

The Mumbai High Court has given its verdict today. 

The petition was against the acquittal of Bollywood producer Ramesh Torani.  The Mumbai High Court has given its verdict today.  The court has rejected the petition filed by the state government against Ramesh Turani.  Ramesh Turani has been acquitted by the court.
