Union Minister Puri said that the exploration and production of natural gas is the top priority of the central government to attract foreign and domestic investment as well as increase production.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Wednesday that the central government is emphasizing on increasing the exploration and production of oil and natural gas to make the country self-reliant in the energy sector and meet the target of 20 percent ethanol blending in petrol by 2025. The work is progressing in the right direction.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the central government is emphasizing on increasing the exploration and production of oil and natural gas to make the country self-reliant in the energy sector. Along with this, the work of meeting the target of mixing 20 percent ethanol in petrol by 2025 is progressing in the right direction. Union Minister Puri said that the target of mixing 9 per cent ethanol in fuel has already been achieved.

The amount of ethanol will have to be increased in the fuel for energy security.
