The Municipal Commissioner Court of Ranchi Municipal Corporation gave the verdict in the Hotel Emerald case located at Hinoo.
Hotel Emerald will be sealed in Hinoo, bulldozer will run if fine is not paid.
Ranchi Municipal Corporation has taken major action on the hotel of Nishat Alam, wife of Alamgir Alam, a senior minister in the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand. Ranchi Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mukesh Kumar ordered the sealing of Hotel Emerald built on the banks of Hinoo river in Ranchi.
The enforcement team of the Municipal Corporation went outside the hotel on Wednesday and pasted the notice. In the notice, the hotel management has been asked to vacate the hotel in three days so that it can be sealed.
Ranchi Municipal Commissioner Mukesh Kumar has written a letter to the DC and the SP saying that police force and magistrates should be made available so that no law and order problem should arise due to the sealing of the hotel.
It is to be known that Hotel Emerald is owned by Nishat Alam, wife of Minister Alamgir Alam. In the affidavit given to the Election Commission, the price of this hotel has been shown as Rs 75 lakh.
The Municipal Commissioner Court of Ranchi Municipal Corporation has ordered to seal Hotel Emerald located in Hinoo within 72 hours. Along with this, a fine of Rs 2 crore 68 lakh 33 thousand has also been imposed on the hotel owner. An ultimatum has been issued to the hotel operator that if they do not deposit the fine amount with the municipal corporation within 30 days, then the hotel will be demolished.

Investigation has revealed that the parking space in the basement of the Emerald Hotel is being used for commercial purposes. The ground floor of the hotel is commercially accepted. The hotel is being operated in a building approved for residential use. Even before this, action was taken against Emerald Hotel and a monetary penalty was imposed on it. After this, commercial activity is going on in the building approved for residential use even while the matter is pending in the Appellate Tribunal. Not only this, the fifth floor has also been illegally constructed.

On this, the Ranchi Municipal Corporation imposed a fine of Rs 97 lakh on the hotel owner. But this fine has not yet been paid by the hotel owner to the Municipal Corporation. After this the case went to the Municipal Commissioner’s court. On Wednesday, the Municipal Commissioner passed an order to seal Hotel Emerald and impose a fine of Rs 2 crore 68 lakh 33 thousand on it. A notice has also been sent to the hotel operator giving information about the order to seal it. In this, the hotel operator has been instructed to pay the fine amount within 30 days. It has been said in the notice that if the amount of fine is not paid within the stipulated period, then the hotel will be ordered to be demolished considering it illegal. It is worth noting that Hotel Emerald is built on the banks of the Hinoo River.
