Millions of students sit for the Central Public Service Commission (CPSC) exams in the country every year, but very few pass and become Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The Central Public Service Commission last month announced the results of the CSE 2020 final exam, in which Delhi’s Ankita Jain also passed and became the third IAS officer in all-India.
Preparing for UPSC to leave the job
Ankita Jain is originally from Delhi and has been good at studies since childhood. She obtained her BTech degree in Computer Science from Delhi Technological University after 12th standard. After this she got a job in a private company, but after some time she quit her job and started preparing for the UPSC exam.
After leaving the job, Ankita Jain worked hard to prepare for the UPSC exams, but in the first three attempts she failed to become an IAS. Despite this, she did not give up and fulfilled her dream of civil service by passing the exam in the fourth attempt.
Third in the fourth attempt
Ankita Jain started preparing for the UPSC exam in 2017. She did not succeed in the first attempt, but she passed the test in the fourth attempt. Her rank was not good. This prevented her from being selected for IAS. She joined the Indian Accounts Service. She also continued her UPSC preparation, but she could not pass the exam in the third attempt. Finally, in the fourth attempt, she fulfilled her dream of becoming an IAS.
Ankita Jain’s husband is an IPS officer
Ankita Jain has a family background in civil service and her husband Abhinav Tyagi is an IPS officer. Apart from this, Ankita’s sister Vaishali Jain also passed the UPSC exam and became the 21st IAS officer in all of India.
