The Congress party, which came to power in the year 2018 by promising loan waiver to the farmers in Rajasthan, has now completely reneged on its promise, it seems as if the Congress has never made any promise. Let me let you know, during the elections, Rahul Gandhi had said that all the loans would be waived off within just ten days of the formation of his government, but even after a lapse of almost two and a half years, the government has not fulfilled its promise and when the farmers were given loans by the banks. When he started sending notices, the state government withdrew its hand saying that they had not made any such promise.
Congress grabbed power by promising loan waiver and now Congress reverses, farmers are getting attachment notices.
The Congress party, which came to power in the year 2018 by promising loan waiver to the farmers in Rajasthan, has now completely reneged on its promise. At the time of elections, Rahul Gandhi had said that all the loans would be waived off within just ten days of the formation of his government, but even after two and a half years, the promise was not fulfilled and when the banks started sending notices to the farmers, the state government decided to do so. He shrugged off saying that he had never made any such promise.
According to the report of Aaj Tak, farmer Ram Gopal Jat of Jaipur district told that he had taken a loan of Rs. But now the bank has also sent a notice of attachment of the house, taking out the demand of 13 and a half lakh 7 thousand 756. Ramgopal does not have that much money to pay and on the other hand the bank is not ready to accept it.
According to media reports, Ram Gopal Jat, a farmer of Jaipur district, has told that he had taken a loan of Rs. have been done, but now the bank has also sent a notice of attachment of the house, taking out 13 and a half lakh 7 thousand 756 arrears. Let us tell you that Ram Gopal Jat is not the only person like this. There are many farmers who took loans ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh, and now notices have reached all of them.
Rajasthan: The promise of loan waiver in the elections… now the Congress government has turned back, farmers are getting attachment notices
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Government’s Cooperative Minister Uday Lal Anjana has clearly said, “We did not make any promise that we will waive loans to all farmers.” The government says that they do not have enough money to waive the loans of all the farmers, while the central government says that there is a loan of Rs 1,20, 979 crore left on the farmers in the state.
Let us tell you that many farmers have lost their lives after being hurt by the lies told by the Congress government to come to power. The party says that as soon as he took power, he waived loans from all the farmers’ banks. But the report says that the government had waived loans to small and marginal farmers of Land Development Bank and Sahakari Bank and left the rest of the farmers under debt.
The video is proof of the promise made by the Congress.
If you watch the video of 2018, you will know how Rahul Gandhi had challenged the Modi government on the promise of loan waiver with the claim. But in the beginning of the year 2019, the news of farmers’ deaths started coming. In the year 2019, 40-year-old farmer Netram Nath of Raghunathpura committed suicide due to non-waiver of loan.
Prior to that, on June 23, 2019, 45-year-old farmer Sohanlal committed suicide by consuming poison due to non-payment of loan in Thikri village of Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan. Sohanlal had also left a video and a two-page suicide note before he died, in which he had alleged that the Gehlot government had failed to fulfill its promises made before the elections and due to them he was committing suicide.
It is noteworthy that the lies told by the Congress party regarding farm loan waiver also came to the fore when Jyotiraditya Scindia, while in the party, opened a front against the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh. He had admitted during that time that the state government had not fulfilled the promise of loan waiver.
Scindia had targeted the Congress government over the loan waiver of the farmers and said, “The loans of the farmers have not been completely waived off. Only loan of Rs 50,000 has been waived, whereas we had said that loan up to Rs 2 lakh will be waived. Loans up to Rs 2 lakh should be waived off.”
