Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Kedarnath for a short visit. The Prime Minister was received at the Dehradun Airport on Friday morning by Uttarakhand Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Kedarnath. The Prime Minister unveiled the statue of Adi Shankaracharya, which was destroyed in the 2013 floods. After talking to the temple priests, development projects worth Rs 130 crore will be launched in various parts of Uttarakhand. The projects are being implemented in the infrastructure sector.
The Prime Minister arrived in Uttarakhand at 8 am. He then proceeded to Kedarnath to dedicate the tomb of Adi Shankara to Nadu. The statue was unveiled after completing the poojas at the temple. Modi will also address a rally in Kedarnath.
Modi also unveiled a statue of Adi Shankaracharya at the Kedarnath Shiva Temple. He also dedicated the reconstructed Samadhi of Adi Shankara to Nadu. Along with this, the Prime Minister will announce plans worth Rs 300 crore for the reconstruction of Kedarnath, which was devastated by the floods. Modi’s visit to Uttarakhand ahead of elections is of great political significance.
