Online application for Haj Pilgrims 2022 started, this time the government made many changes

With the announcement of Haj 2022 with new improvements and facilities by the Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, the process of online application for Haj 2022 has started from Monday and the last date of application is 31 January 2022. 

Announcing Haj 2022 at Haj House here, Naqvi said that the entire Haj process would be 100% digital/online. The last date for submission of application form for Haj 2022 has been kept as 31st January 2022. Applications for Haj can also be made online and through the ‘Hajj Mobile App’ with modern facilities. He said that this time Indian Haj pilgrims will also encourage ‘Vocal for Local’ and Haj pilgrims will go on essential Haj pilgrimage with indigenous goods. 

Earlier, Haj pilgrims used to buy sheets-pillows-towels, umbrellas and other items in Saudi Arabia in foreign currency. This time most of these indigenous goods will be bought in India in Indian currency. While these goods will be available in India at about 50 percent lower prices, it will give a boost to Swadeshi and ‘Vocal for Local’. All these items will be given to Haj pilgrims at their designated embarkation points. 

Naqvi said that for decades, Haj pilgrims used to buy all these items in Saudi Arabia in foreign currency, the interesting thing is that most of these items were ‘Made in India’, which various companies bought from India at double, triple the price. Used to give Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. According to an estimate, this arrangement will save crores of rupees for Haj pilgrims. Two lakh Haj pilgrims from India go on Haj pilgrimage every year.

The Union Minister said that the selection process of those willing to perform Haj will be done as per the corona protocol, guidelines and parameters to be taken by both the doses of corona vaccine and the time of Haj 2022 by the governments of India and Saudi Arabia. Along with this, the entire process of Haj 2022 has been made more simple-accessible and transparent. 

Naqvi said that the entire process of Haj 2022 is being done according to the eligibility criteria, age criteria, health condition and other necessary guidelines to be decided by the Government of Saudi Arabia and the Government of India. Giving priority to the health, safety of the people and after intensive consultations by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Haj Committee, Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, Consul General of India in Jeddah, etc., the complete outline of Haj 2022 has been decided. Has been done. 

Naqvi said that the ‘Hajj Mobile App’ has been upgraded. Its tag line is ‘Hajj App in Your Hand’. The application form, complete information on how to fill the application form, video of the process of filling the application form, etc. are available in ‘Hajj Mobile App’. 

He said that instead of 21, ten embarkation points have been fixed for Haj 2022 including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Delhi, Gauhati, Hyderabad, Haj pilgrims from Gujarat from Ahmedabad embarkation point; Haj pilgrims from Chattoor District of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh from Bangalore Embarkation Point; Haj pilgrims from Kochi Embarkation Point to Kerala, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Andaman & Nicobar; From Delhi Embarkation Point, Haj pilgrims from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan will be able to undertake Haj pilgrimage 2022. 

Haj pilgrims from Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim from Guwahati Embarkation Point; Haj pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from Hyderabad embarkation point; Haj pilgrims from West Bengal, Odisha, Tripura, Jharkhand and Bihar will be able to go on Haj pilgrimage 2022 from Kolkata Embarkation Point.

Haj pilgrims of all Uttar Pradesh except West Uttar Pradesh from Lucknow embarkation point; Haj pilgrims from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Goa from Mumbai embarkation point and Jammu, Kashmir, Leh-Ladakh-Kargil pilgrims from Srinagar embarkation point will be able to undertake Haj pilgrimage 2022. Naqvi said that all Haj pilgrims will also be given the facility of digital health card, ‘e-Messiah’ health facility, ‘e-luggage tagging’ to provide information on bulking/transportation of stay in Mecca-Medina in India. Special training has been arranged in relation to corona protocol and health and hygiene for Haj pilgrims in India and Saudi Arabia for Haj 2022. Naqvi said that without ‘Mehram’ (male relative) more than 3000 women had applied for Haj 2020-2021. without ‘Mehram’
