Cases of copying gangs and paper leaks were reported in the REET and Police Sub Inspector recruitment exams in Rajasthan. Due to such copying and paper leak cases, the boards conducting the examination are losing their credibility. Amidst similar apprehensions, the Patwari recruitment exam is going to be held on 23 and 24 October. More than 15 lakh candidates will appear in this exam. Amidst the threat of copying gangs, the special thing is that this time there are no examination centers in 10 districts. Even Sikar, the home district of Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara, has been kept out of the examination centre. The responsibility of conducting the examination rests with the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB). In such a situation, Dainik Bhaskar had a special conversation with the chairman of the board, Hariprasad Sharma, and got answers to the questions that every candidate wants to know. Here are some excerpts from the special conversation…
Danger of copying like REET on Patwari recruitment, RSMSSB chairman told plan to stop cheating
Rajasthan Patwari Recruitment Exam is going to be held on 23rd and 24th October. More than 15 lakh candidates will appear in this exam. In such a situation, the question is arising whether the copying gangs will remain active in this examination or the board has made full preparations to crack down on them. In an interview given to the newspaper, Rajasthan Staff Selection Board President Hariprasad Sharma spoke openly on this.
Recently, in the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test i.e. REET exam, a gang who copied with the help of bluetooth slippers was exposed. At the same time, the gang involved in copying and leaking papers was also caught in the police sub-inspector recruitment examination. The cases of cheating with these new tricks and techniques had shocked people across the country. Due to this, many questions were also raised on the board conducting the examination. Now Rajasthan Patwari Recruitment Exam is going to be held on 23rd and 24th October. More than 15 lakh candidates will appear in this exam. In such a situation, the question is arising whether the copying gangs will remain active in this examination as well or has the board made full preparations to crack down on them?
Slippers fitted with bluetooth devices
It is known that in the recently held Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test i.e. REET exam, the gang who cheated was exposed. These gangs used to sell slippers fitted with Bluetooth devices to the candidates for 6 lakhs. Let us tell you that according to the guidelines issued by the government in the REET exam, the candidates could enter the examination hall only by wearing slippers. In such a situation, the copying gang had invented a unique sandal. Bluetooth was installed in this unique sandal and its price was said to be 6 lakhs. By wearing this slipper fitted with a bluetooth device, the candidate could easily copy in the examination hall.
What preparations have been made to stop copying in the Patwari Recruitment Examination?
There is absolutely no chance of copying in the Patwari recruitment examination to be held in Rajasthan. At every examination center, from the invigilator to the police personnel, every step will be monitored. Along with this, even before the examination, our team is continuously collecting information about the copying gang and giving it to the police and special operations group. So that those from chappal gang to paper out can be caught before the exam. Along with this, this time we have implemented a new system at the examination center. This will completely prevent duplication and rigging.
Will there be no examination centers in some districts and what is the reason?
The Board President said that there will be no center for Patwari recruitment examination in ten districts. When the board conducted a study of the previous examinations, it came to the fore that either there have been more cases of copying or paper leak gangs or copying gangs are active. So this decision has been taken by taking extra precautions.
Examination centers not kept in these districts
1. Barmer 2. Churu 3. Dholpur 4. Jaisalmer 5. Jalore 6. Jhunjhunu 7. Karauli 8. Pali 9. Pratapgarh 10. Sikar.
In view of the increasing number of fake candidates, will there be biometric attendance in the Patwari exam?
At the moment I do not want to reveal our strategy, but better arrangements will be made this time in Patwari examination than whatever examinations have been done before now. So that any kind of fake candidate can be caught.
In the competitive examinations held in the past, many questions of the question paper have come from selected books only. How will this kind of negligence be stopped?
Special care has been taken to prepare the question paper of Patwari Recruitment Examination. The question papers have been prepared by the team of experts from across the country, which have not been prepared from any particular text book. In such a situation, such complaint will not come in the Patwari Recruitment Examination.
During the recruitment examination, many candidates get dissatisfied and go to the court, due to which the result is stopped. What are the preparations to stop this?
Our job is to conduct the examination in a safe, transparent and in a good manner. We do not have control over the students going to court. So we can’t do anything on it.
Patwari examination is not being conducted in many districts. What arrangements have been made for the candidates there?
No candidate of Rajasthan will have to worry during the examination. In some districts of the state, the examination will not be conducted, but the candidates there will be allotted the examination center in the nearest district itself. So that he can reach there easily.
Lakhs of candidates from across the state will sit in the Patwari recruitment exam. Is there accommodation, accommodation and other arrangements for the candidates like REET?
There will be no need for special accommodation for the candidates during the Patwari Recruitment Examination. Because every candidate has been allotted the exam center in his/her nearest district only. In such a situation, the candidate can go to his home district again on the same day after giving the examination. Along with this, no arrangement has been made by the Staff Selection Board for the arrangement of food for the candidates. However, in many districts, food packets are being prepared for the candidates by voluntary organizations and Bhamashah.
When will the admit cards be issued, because if the buses will be free, then it will be easy for the candidate to get the information about the center first?
Admit cards will be issued at least one week before the exam. The preparation for uploading the admit card on the website has been completed. Will release soon. For this, candidates keep visiting our official website regularly.
Is the copying gang very active during the recruitment examinations in the state?
Yes, absolutely strict action should be taken against every person who is playing with the future of the candidates of Rajasthan. Along with the government, the police administration is also continuously active to nab the nakal gang. I have no hope but full faith. The government will not spare the guilty under any circumstances.
