The Mangalore-Bangalore Vistadome coach train has started its maiden voyage. Passengers traveling on this train can enjoy the beauty of the Western Ghats.

The Central Government is making various new initiatives to increase rail tourism. That is, on trains passing through the dense jungle, new boxes designed with glass are attached and arranged to enjoy the natural beauty. Similarly, on the Mangalore-Bangalore Yesvantpur train, 2 coaches made of glass are attached. This box is named ‘Vistatome’.

The train connected to the Vistadome coaches in Karnataka has started its first journey since yesterday. Starting from Mangalore, one can enjoy the beauty of the Western Ghats from Subramania Road to Sakleshpura.

The Mangalore-Bangalore Yesvantpur train (Train No: 06540) will leave Mangalore Central at 9 am yesterday. The train was started by the Dakshina Kannada constituency BJP MP, waving the green flag. This train is fully air conditioned with 2 Vistatome coaches attached to enjoy the natural beauty. Mirrors are placed around the box for travelers to enjoy the natural beauty. You can enjoy the beauty of the Western Ghats as it was in this box.

The fare was set at Rs 1,470 to travel in this Vistatome coach. Booking for this started last week. Within a few days all the tickets were sold out. Traveling between Mangalore and Bangalore, people came eagerly to enjoy the natural beauty just like on the train.

The train left Mangalore railway station yesterday morning and headed towards Bangalore. 2 Vistatome coaches are also fully packed. Travelers sat in those boxes and admired the beauty of the Western Ghats. This new initiative of the Railways has been well received by the people.
