In this context, District Collector Innocent Divya had requested the Government of Tamil Nadu to order that e-pass be made compulsory for those coming to the Nilgiris district as there is a risk of corona spreading as the e-registration system allows many people to easily register online and enter the Nilgiris district unnecessarily, even for urgent reasons.
