As the outbreak of the second wave of Corona increased, the government issued an order on May 7 and declared summer vacation for universities and degree colleges till June 12.
Government and private universities and degree colleges will open in Uttarakhand from Monday.
After this the holiday was extended till Saturday. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Higher Education, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that from June 21, studies will be started in all universities and degree colleges.
He said that universities and colleges would be opened, but now only teachers have been called. Online studies will be started now so that students do not have to suffer the loss of studies. However, along with improving the situation of corona infection, preparations have also been asked to start offline studies. He indicated to start offline studies duly from next month i.e. July 1.
The race for the National Teacher Award this year.
The Central Government has given relief to the teachers who want to participate in the race for the National Teacher Award this year. The last date of application for them has been extended till June 30.
Teachers get these awards at the elementary, secondary level in the state. According to the new system of the central government, the teachers who received the award now have to apply online by mentioning their achievements.
Now the compulsion to apply for the award through the Education Department has been abolished. The central government had earlier fixed June 20 as the last date for online applications.
After examining these applications, the selection committee constituted at the district level forwards it to the state level committee. The State Level Selection Committee shortlists the applications and sends the list of eligible candidates to an independent National Jury.
After this a presentation is given by the selected teachers before the jury. After the presentation, the jury selects the award. The central government has also fixed the revised dates for this time bound process.
