On Thursday, the Union Cabinet has approved (DA-DR Hiked) a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance of central government employees and pensioners . This increase is even more special because in July this year, the central government had increased the dearness allowance of central employees and pensioners by 11 per cent, after which the DA rate was increased from 17 per cent to 28 per cent. In such a situation, after today’s increase, more money will come in the hands of the employees than before.
Let us inform that this increase will also be applicable from July 1, 2021 along with the previous order. This will be an additional 3% payable on the existing 28% of Basic Pay and Pension. This decision will benefit 47.14 lakh central government employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners, and this additional due will cost the central government Rs 9,488.70 crore every year.
Whose salary will increase by how much?
In July this year, the government had given relief to central employees and pensioners during the pandemic by increasing dearness allowance and dearness relief by 28 percent. But since the inflation rate increased in June, it was believed that according to the data of the consumer index, the government should increase the rates by an additional 3 percent because the dearness allowance is decided by this index itself. In such a situation, it has been decided to increase by 3 percent and now from July 2021, the dearness allowance will be increased at the rate of 31 percent in the salary.
Now let’s see how much salary will increase-
According to the 7th Pay Commission recommendation, if your basic salary is Rs 18,000, then after 3% increase in DA, your salary will increase by Rs 540, and if your basic salary is 25,000, then you will get a benefit of Rs 750 per month .
Similarly, if your basic salary is Rs 50,000, you will get an increase of Rs 1,500 per month in the total salary, and if your basic salary, i.e., basic salary is Rs 1,00,000, after 3% increase in dearness allowance, the total The salary will increase by Rs 3,000.
