Exam dates for UGC NET December and June sessions have been announced. The UGC NET exam will be held from October 6 to October 11. The examination will be held in these two sessions from 9 am to 12 noon and from 3 pm to 6 pm. The National Testing Agency has issued a notice in this regard. Accordingly, the period for applying for the examination has been extended.

The December 2020 exam is being delayed due to corona virus infection. The National Testing Agency had decided to combine both the December 2020 and June 2021 exams.

The UGC NET exam is generally held twice a year. Exams are held in June and December. However, due to Corona, the exam was not held in December this year. It was decided to conduct the net exam in the month of May. The exam was scheduled to take place between May 2 and 17. However, a second wave of corona virus prevented the test. Therefore, the examination was postponed.
Pattern of net test.
The National Testing Agency conducts the National Eligibility Test (NET) on behalf of the University Grants Commission. Two papers are conducted for the examination. The first paper is the same for all subjects while the second is based on the subject. Examinations are conducted for about 84 subjects.
Three hours are given for this test. Negative marking is not done for NET exam. A total of 150 questions are asked in both the papers out of which the candidate is declared successful if he / she gets the marks fixed by UGC and NTA. Students who pass this exam get the opportunity to teach in senior colleges and universities.
