Kamika Ekadashi is considered to be one of the most auspicious Ekadashi, as it falls during Chaturmas period. Each Ekadashi has a specific name and significance. This year, Kamika Ekadashi is being celebrated on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 i.e. today. According to Drikpanchang, it is believed that Ekadashi is celebrated after sunrise on the next day of Ekadashi fast. Unless Dwadashi ends before sunrise, it is necessary to do Parana within Dwadashi Tithi. Not doing Parana on Dwadashi is tantamount to a crime.
