SAFF Cup 2021: India will face Nepal in the eighth SAFF Cup final

India will battle it out for the eighth SAFF Cup title today. In the final, India will face Nepal. After drawing the first two matches, India won the subsequent matches and advanced to the final. The match will be played at 8.30 pm.

If won today, it will be India’s first title under coach Igor Stimach. In 2019, Stemach became the coach of the Indian team. Nepal is 61st behind India. India had beaten Nepal in a group match. Captain Sunil Chhetri, who has already scored four goals, leads India. Chhetri, who scored one goal against Nepal and two against the Maldives, will return to India for the SAFF Cup once again.

In the group stage, India topped the final with eight points after two wins and four draws in four matches. Nepal finished second with seven points. Under Croatian coach Igor Stimach, it was a good sign that the Indian team had found the back of the net. Injured midfielder Brandon Fernandes and red carded defender Subhashish Bose will not be available for India.
